I purchased these not long ago from Amazon hoping to find a superb closed headphone for the situations in which my open-air Sennheiser HD580’s wouldn’t be suitable. Comparing the two, both have absolutely amazing sound but the difference you get in sound between a closed and open pair of headphones is obvious. The BD 770’s definitely have a punchier bass but I feel they sacrifice some of the high-end clarity that an open headphone like the HD 580s offer which is simply due to the fact that one is open and one is closed. I feel like they are a suitable duo, both providing an extremely solid, superb, and crystal clear sound. My tastes are definitely in the electronic and classical/instrumental areas and I would definitely say that the 580s perform better in the classical setting and the 770s perform better in the electronic area. The construction is extremely good and haven’t had and don’t foresee any problems in the future. In addition, they are extremely light and comfortable,

Best Portable Headphone Amp For headphones?
Hi, I was planning on purchasing the Beyerdynamic DT 880 Premium Headphones Beyerdynamic Dt 770 Stereo Headphones and I wanna use them for my home and on the go (mainly on my home comp. because I don’t have a stereo.) I also was told that 12V portatble amps are the best I could get and if someone could link me to a product I would truly appreciate it.

Without going into all the details here’s the bones for my laptop.

Pros:
- Very fast, easily a decent desktop replacement.
- Graphics cards work well when they work.
- Keyboard is very nice, perfect feel for gaming.

Cons:
- Not very stable.
- Windows 7 does not support SLi setups! So be careful choosing this one, I learnt that the hard way.
- Heavy. ‘Nuff said.

The main thing here is that Windows 7 does not support SLi, so I would go for the single GFX card option if you’re after a gaming machine. It will do gaming no problem, but it is not stable at all. Sometimes it’ll crash after 1 hour, sometimes not at all. No way to predict.

Otherwise, I’m happy with it.

Program messing up on awesome computer… graphics?
I have an Alienware mALX laptop. here’s the situation:AMD Turion 64 @ 2412MHz2048MB RAMClevo nVIDIA CK804 Motherboard2x NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX (SUPPOSEDLY) in SLiBenchmarked 6,161 on 3DMark 2006 when it was first purchasedNow: When i try to run games, namely Assassin’s Creed and Battlefield 2142, this thing has TERRIBLE FPS, and what’s more, i get these weird little alienware Safe Mode artifacts that look like giant lines or spears coming out of people in the games. Also. if you don’t have an alienware you may not understand this part but:there’s a blue button on the laptop that is illuminated when the graphics acceleration thing is on, and it de-illuminates when it’s off. Usually, mid-game, it’ll turn itself off, and won’t let me turn it back on for a little while, almost like it’s overloading and needs to cool down a bit. but its sitting on a fan/heatsink.What’s Wrong??On a side note, Is it possible to run the game in safe mode to possibly improve performance?thanksi tried updating the drivers…. my computer isn’t listed on nvidias site for some reason… i chose it from the dropdown, and downloaded it, but when the install starts it says that it doesnt detect a compatible card…. confused as hell
