great laptop, the screen is amazing. 1080p on a laptop cannot get any better. One bad thing is this thing runs pretty hot, the Graphics temperature goes up to 80C, which is pretty normal when running an intense game, but since it’s on a laptop you can feel the heat from your palms while resting on it.

Alienware M17x VS Macbook Pro?
How do the two compare? Lets say a $3000 M17x vs $3000 Macbook ProFirst, i’d like to talk about my experience with the M17x.PROS-Fans. The fans are extremely quiet. You can rarely hear the fan even when it is dead silent. Also, the air circulation is great because the whole bottom of the laptop is basically vents. Also the fact that the laptop is made of metal which is a great heat conductor.CONS-Big and Heavy. I don’t really mind because its my desktop replacement but moving it around the house is a pain.-MANY small problems. Double-Beeps at BIOS with false error, Touch Sense media buttons and alienware Wmp Visualizations lighting often malfunction, etc-Wrist rest. There is a wrist rest in the middle of the laptop except the fact that the keyboard is positioned on the left side because of the numpad. So my right hand benefits from the wrist rest while my left hand rests on a point surface. -Support sucks. When I try online technical support it says my computer isn’t supported. I just got it like 2 months ago.Now some information about the uses of my laptop Some Information-Don’t play games-MAINLY used for Homework (Microsoft Office), Surfing Web (Firefox) and Media (WMP/VLC)-Dont really care that Macs don’t get virus cause I rarely get any virus on a PC. Questions-How do they compare?-How is the Macbook Pro compared to my experience with the M17x?-Will Microsoft Word work on Mac? What about Adobe products? Firefox?-How does the touchpad work? I notice theres no buttons so im guessing that you have to lift your finger and tap the touchpad to make a click? I dislike that because I think that involves more movement compared to having you finger on a button and pushing it down to make a click.-The bottom of the Mac is a flat surface. How good is the air circulation? -What would be the main differences when switching from Windows 7 to Mac OS (Whichever is best)

Complementing guidelines on Razer Lycosa Gaming Keyboard

alien-ware Complementing guidelines on Razer Lycosa Gaming Keyboard

I received a MT10 model lycosa mirror keyboard from [...]off amazon, and I have to say that it’s the keyboard I’ve always wanted. Although there are limitless amounts of problems with many lycosas, the one I received works just fine. All the buttons click softly but at the same time have some feedback. They’re flattened out like labtop keys, but also raised like a standard industrial keyboard. This is definitely one of the most unique designs I’ve ever seen. My only problem with my lycosa is that the touchpad’s media button opens up windows media player and controls it, instead of itunes (which I set the drivers to open instead). Other than that, it’s working great. A couple things about the lighting have bothered me, though. For one, the numlock and caps lock lights are switched from the stand num cap scroll order. Instead, it’s ordered caps num scroll. But that’s no biggy. The second is that the numlock light seems to be much brighter than the other two while turned off.

First Self Built PC: Hard Drive Question(s)?

My first question is about what RAID option should I do, 0 or 1? I understand that Raid 0 will utilize both drives so my space is actually both drives making it 1TB space, but I’ll lose all data if just 1 dies. All I can find out about Raid 1 is that I only get the space of 1 drive out of 2 of them and they won’t lose data unless both crash. I am using it mainly for Gaming and internet stuff. All my personal stuff ie. Photos, movies, Family stuff and school work are all on an External Hard drive.I was told Raid zero will help loading screens and such with speed of loading since it can read data from both drives simultaneously, is this true and in what way does it read the drives? Some data on one and some on the other? Which raid would you choose if it was strictly for gaming and not too worried about data loss as much?Second part: I am currently using a pre built HP desktop I bought years ago and It has 1 365Gb hard drive (C:) and one I cannot even use (D:). I understand D is for if my other fails, What type of hard drive would I use just for a fail safe if my 2 main fail and I need the back up of windows info? Whats the type of drive and how could I make it so I can’t touch any files on it until needed? What’s the difference between a solid state drive, S-ATA 3.0, Primary hard drive and a Data hard drive?

Free efficient problem solver for Vol Control Stereo

Having using earphones all my life, I wanted to try headphones but I didnt want to spend 300 dollars. These headphones at first look cheap but they work great! Comfort and sound quality was superb considering that the cost of the headphones were under 20 bucks. However, after wearing it for hours it might cook your ears and feel a little bit of discomfort but then again doesnt every headphone? The only complaint I have with this product is the long 9ft cable length. It might be useful for those who have computers as it has a in-volume control on the cable but I mainly use these headphones for my ipod. These headphones are the best for the cheap price. So if your switching from earphones to headphones without breaking your wallet, these headphones are the way to go!

Ive been looking for a remote headset like this.
The typical ones are far, far more expensive. They usually range in the 2-500 dollar ballpark. I have bought them before, the high dollar ones do not give you many more benefits outside a longer range.
This unit is perfect for internet telephone. You can walk all around without a phone cord, adjust the volume up or down and mute the microphone. The battery lasts for a long time (this was my first concern when I bought my first one). The first one I bought is still working, so when I saw the MS Lifechat 6k at this price, I had to buy another one. Now I have 2 units, the first one is 1.5 years old and still holds a charge long enough to use for 4-5 hours a day. I was surprised that I could not find this headset in any local retail outlets anymore, but i can find the lifechat 3k (which is a corded set with 2 huge ear muffs to make your ears sweat).
