I found the computer to be pretty fast and was happy with the purchase. Then one of the fans started clicking. I thought this was a bit annoying at times, but it was just intermittent. The clicking continued to increase in both frequency and in volume. I opened the case to see where the noise was coming from and discovered that it was originating from the graphics card.I went to HP’s site and discovered that there was a recall for the graphics card for exactly the reason I was having. I contacted HP and they responded quickly and acknowledged that my computer was still under warranty. They did ask me to remove and re-seat the graphics card to see if that fixed the problem. It did not fix the problem. Their next email told me that tech support would contact me to get me set up for a replacement part.Three weeks passed and I had not heard from their tech support and the noise was getting so much worse. I contacted HP again and was told that they had attempted contact (no

Free useful roadmap for alienware Vortex

I ordered my alienware orion messenger bag from the price bros on Thursday August 26, 2010 at about 3:30pm. I even paid $27.00 for expedited shipping. The Price Bros had all evening on Thursday, and all day on Friday and Saturday to ship my item and failed to do so! I even sent them an email. Today it is Sunday August 29th, 2010 and my item still has not shipped. I feel I got ripped off. Why did I pay the high expedited shipping cost for if they were just going to delay my shipment. I am extremely frustrated and I would NEVER purchase anything from The Price Bros again!

Avoid buying from them at all costs, I just want my item so I can go on with my life!!

Complementing guidelines on core I7 Laptop Asus

Did a lot of research before I decided to buy the Asus N71JQ-A1. One of the few with USB 3.0 and the best I could find with USB 3.0. The hard drive description is wrong. This laptop comes with 2 X 320GB (7200rpm) hard drives not one 640GB (5400rpm) hard drive. The X1 version only has 1 hard drive and no provision for adding another hard drive. Display quality is very good. So far the only negatives are all of the Bloatware installed and the poor quality owners manual. There is a good emanual installed on the laptop but I found no mention of it in the owners manual, had to find it myself.

Which laptop should I buy?
It’s between the $898 CyberpowerPC Gamer Xplorer GX8600 15.6″ Notebook w/ Intel i7 2630QM 2.0 GHz CPU, 8GB DDR3, 750GB HDD, Win 7 Home 64-bit or the $1199.99 ASUS – Laptop / Intel® Core™ i7 Processor / 17.3″ Display / 8GB Memory / 750GB Hard Drive – Black…The both core I7 Laptop Asus have the same 8gb memory and 750gb Hard Drive. I was just wondering which one I should get. The Asus is about an inch and a half bigger in Display, but that doesn’t really matter to me.The rest of the spec’s can be found here – CyberpowerPC -http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SP101A9634S4021576401P?prdNo=12&blockNo=12&blockType=L12And Asus – http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ASUS+-+Laptop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i7+Processor+/+17.3%22+Display+/+8GB+Memory+/+750GB+Hard+Drive+-+Black/1774899.p?id=1218290438380&skuId=1774899Which one would be more reliable and stuff???

Today (8-2010) in servers you can either build your own or buy one off the shelf from a mfgr. I needed 2 servers, so I did one of each. The buy off the shelf system was an i7 975 3.33 ghz, 24 GB RAM, 1.7G 216 cuda core nvidia graphics, windows 7 ultra. I bought it from HP with some good discounts and got the price down to 2100 delivered, which at the time the proc had a street price of 1000 bucks alone. Forget the 24G of ram – that’s 12 banks of 4 GB and today 2GB ram is about all you can find on the street – bigger configs are getting taken by companies like HP depleating the store supplies. The second system I built had a more modest 8GB ram, asus motherboard, just enough to get by on VGA card until the newest cards from nvidia come out, and most importantly used this processor along with a decent power supply built for sli x4 systems. Cost was around $700, but will have a $200 hit when the new graphics card comes out for $900 with expected exceptional performance. The ability of
