Best Gaming Computers

What is a good (custom built) gaming computer for under $500?
I am in Australia so the parts available here are limited, Custom Gaming computers so no newegg etc. Sorry! Biggest problem right now is the case…..so please list most of the main parts, (proccesser etc). By the way, I’m not intending to play games like Crysis on max settings, but more like simulation games, thanks!

Team Fortress 2 headset help?
I have a headset, which is a headphone and microphone in one (Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset). I am trying to play Team Fortress 2 with it. It is plugged into the right plug-ins. I can hear through it, but I cannot voice Logitech Extreme Gaming chat with the built-in microphone. We use this to talk through it instead of typing messages to people The problem: Why can’t I chat with it, even though the switch is on for the microphone, volume is up. Please help me.I can hear the game going. I can not chat with other people using the microphone. THEY ARE IN THE CORRECT PLUG-INS. I have used voice recorder. It worked while I recorded it. So I go to the TF2 options and go to voice. I test it and it works.So when I play for real, i cant chat!
